Moving

So, I am sitting in what will become someone else's bedroom. My room is dark, because I have already packed my lamp and the over head light is just too bright for how I feel. I don't want to move. I love my apartment. I have done so much growing up and learning about life, myself, school....it is just not right having to pack it all up in brown ugly boxes. My life can not be contained in boxes (and not very many at that). It just goes to show that life is more than just stuff...it is about people and people do not live in boxes.

I am dreading unpack what things I am taking with me. I will be storing some of my stuff some where. I feel like I am storing part of my life in someone's basement.  It is funny how certain things bring back memories about the silliest things. I remember trying to help my mom pack something when we were moving to the states when I was five...it did not work very well. It is interesting that moving is such a normal thing to me and I know people who have moved twice as much as I have. There are so many emotions tied up with change for the good or bad. sigh...I think that I need a vacation after this...well I am buying a new car so I guess that will have to do. :)

It has been a while

    So, its been a while.
I spent about a month at home with family. I enjoyed visiting my grandparents and spending time with Chris.

Did some relaxing as well as finishing up school classes. That was a drag, but it's all good in the end. I enjoyed driving fast over there, through the forest and the autobahn. People drive way to slow over here :).

It was so much fun being able to see friends again.

My family spent about a month with me in Portland and then went back. I cannot believe that Chris is a freshman at BFA. Where does the time go?
I just got back late last night with the family that I nanny for, from Grants Pass. It was very relaxing and a ton of fun. Are they not the cutest kids?!

I am transferring to Portland State where I will be a Jr. in a couple of weeks. I am a bit nervous about starting a new school and all, but I am looking forward to being done soon.
The other big news is that I have to move out of my apartment. The landlord needs it for family...so I have to find a new place. I have a few options, but living on a college budget makes it rather difficult.

Well, that all. If I continue it will just get too long.

Post more soon,
Christien

I'm Home

Hey Guys,
Well, I am home now. Yes, it has been a while since I have posted. Sorry.

I have been home for about a week now. I am so thankful for this opportunity to spend time with my family and see some friends. I was able to surprise my brother and I will be surprising my grandparents as well. It will be lots of fun. I am still working on school even though I am here. It is hard to balance everything, but it is doable.

Well, I am off to my dentist appointment now. I hope I don't have any cavities...but that is life. :)

Ahhh

Hi,

Well, I'm doing well. I am plugging along- working, school, Bible study and life. I had a fun Easter with friends. It was good just to relax.

I am getting excited about traveling again. I love it and I can't wait.  21 days and counting.

So, here is what is really on my mind... I babysat last night for a couple who are going to counseling....it is so hard to watch the kids have to say goodbye to a parent who does not live there. It breaks my heart that even though parents try to not hurt the kids, but they do. There is no way around it. I know that this is so common that it does not even make people thing any more.  Shouldn't it though, I mean really.  I know that this is the world we live in, but hello.  We live in a world where if two couples get married one of them is going to get a divorce  More kids have four parents...what is up with that.  I just don't want to be desensitized to the things of the world and how they creep into our lives, culture and families, when it is wrong. Even though everyone does it, does not make it right.

Ok, here is the other thing....I hate traffic. Why does have to take 30 min to get any where. The other thing that drives me crazy (no pun intended) is that people slow down for absolutely no reason. There is nothing there....hello! Drive People Drive. Ahhhhh.  I can see why there is such a high rate of road rage.  One can get so angry, but it is what we do with it.

Alright, I need to get my day going now. I'll post soon.

Sorry

Hey

Well...sorry it has been a while.

I had my first car accident on Wednesday. I was following my boss to her house to watch her kids. I accidentally ran rear ended her. Yup...I hit my bosses car... not a good thing to do. She is really cool about it and really only caries about how I am doing with all of this. Thankfully it was just my car that was messed up and that no one was hurt. There was an officer that watched the whole thing and helped up, but he said that he did not have time to give me a ticket! thank God. So...now I am having to deal with either getting my car fixed or getting a new one. I liked my car it was apart of me. It was my first car. I learned how to drive stick on it. It's so sad.

Well, other than that my life is pretty normal still. I am thinking of flying home in May for a month. I have a free ticket and I have it on hold, but now with this accident it is up in the air. I am taking classes still they are just online this quarter. I hate it, but nothing else would work into a schedule.

I hope that you are doing well. Drive safe...

Christien
